Anticipated Project Timeline

Progress Update (05-26-16): We worked in week 9 to interpret our data and results. After completing this, we were also able to organize our project into a final presentation to be given in week 10. The presentation and final report are nearly complete, and will be ready for week 10. We are on track to complete these tasks and end the project on a high note.

Progress Update (05-19-16): We were quite successful in our third overall trial conducted in week 8. The changes we made to the heat pipe allowed it to work with high efficiency, with nearly equal temperatures at both ends of the pipe. Since we were quite successful in our tests, the project will likely require no further testing, and we can now shift our focus to analysis of the data in preparation for the final report and presentation. We are on track to have both the report and presentation completed by week 10 of the term.

Progress Update (05-12-16): We are still working within the design testing and analysis phase. We have made some modifications to the heat pipe (as detailed in the week 7 post) to optimize its efficiency of heat transfer. The last couple weeks will be focused on further testing and refinement of design, and any conclusions we draw will be detailed in the final report and presentation.

Progress Update (05-05-16): After a very successful week 6, we are confident that our final report and analysis will be finished by the required date. We are currently planning for the upcoming weeks, noticing that after the final wick test is complete, there may be extra time to continue honing the efficiency of our heat pipe. We will keep you updated throughout the home stretch of the term.

Progress Update (04-28-16): We are currently heading into week 6 of the term, which puts our group on track with our originally proposed timeline. Constructing the heat pipe happened more quickly than anticipated, which has given us the past few weeks, as well as the upcoming week, for further refinement and testing before proper analysis can be conducted in weeks 7 and 8.
